Overview • Introduction to the CAMD Business System • Statistics • Request for feedback
Introduction to the CAMD Business System (CBS) • Users can submit source data to CAMD on-line. Paper forms are optional. • Certificate of Representation, Retired Unit Exemption and New Unit Exemption (Acid Rain Program) • Account Certificate of Representation (NOx Budget Trading Program) • Users are required to obtain a User ID and Password, and to provide an email address
Introduction to the CAMD Business System (cont.) • Users can manage and control their own facility/unit data • Provides industry another secure method to submit new or revise existing facility/unit data • Users receive feedback via email • CBS is the sole and central repository for facility/unit data that all CAMD applications will share

Submit Informationand Form Data On-Line • Add new facilities and/or units • Modify data for existing facilities • Identify new or change Primary and/or Alternate Representative • Primary Representative synonymous with Designated Representative and Authorized Account Representative
Submit Informationand Form Data On-Line (cont.) • Modify unit Owner and/or Operator information • Modify personal contact information for a Primary and/or Alternate Representative • Submit Retired/New Unit Exemption data

Submit Informationand Form Data On-Line (cont.) • The Primary Representative is bound by all certifications and requirements whether data are submitted on-line or on paper • Public notice is still required for change to Primary Representative when change is made on-line
Maintain Agents • Maintain Agents • An Agent is a person, appointed by a Primary or Alternate Representative, to conduct business on their behalf • Representatives may assign Agents on-line using CBS • Agents should be trusted individuals
Maintain Agents (cont.) • Types of Agents • Source Management, Allowance Trading, Compliance, and General Account Management • Future Agent Types may include Emissions Reporting and Monitoring
Maintain Agents (cont.) • Another way to Assign Agents • Download information from CAMD web site, complete as required, obtain Representative’s signature and fax to CAMD • CAMD will assign Agent and notify Representative and Agent via email

Maintain Agents (cont.) • Primary Representative is legally responsible for submissions made by their Agent(s), their Alternate Representative(s), or their Alternate Representative’s Agent(s)
Applicability Decision Tool • Users who wish to determine whether a facility/unit is subject to Acid Rain Program regulations may use this tool • Users who wish to determine whether a facility/unit is subject to State SIP Call regulations will be provided with the name and phone number of the appropriate State contact
View Agency Staff Information • Agency Staff • EPA CAMD, State and Regional staff associated with CAMD trading programs • Users can view the names of EPA CAMD, State and Regional staff associated with facilities, as well as their address, phone number, fax number, email address and their areas of responsibility
Maintain Industry Contacts • Users can identify industry staff at a facility that EPA should contact with program-related questions • Users can add and/or modify contact name, company, address, phone number, fax number, email address and areas of responsibility (monitoring, emissions reporting, permitting, etc.) • Central rolodex of industry contact information for CAMD
Other Features • Personal Contact Information • Users have the ability to update personal contact information (address, phone number, fax number and email address) • Password Maintenance • Users have the ability to view the age of their password and update password as required
Other Features (cont.) • Users may add/edit/remove email addresses for people to be copied on allowance transactions • Generate Reports • Glossary • Help Files
Statistics • On-line submissions since March, 2003 • Representative changes - 19% • Facility/unit adds or modifications - 21% • Personal information changes - 61% • General account adds or modifications - 45% • Annual compliance certification reports - 50% • Some are lower than expected
