Objectives The course will help you to: Recognize myths & realities of Creativity. Learn tools & techniques to think creatively. Understand & learn the process to unleash your Creativity. Identify the ways to fight traditional thinking.
Individual Activity: Folding Hands • Fold your hands • Observe your style of folding the hands • Now unfold the hands and quickly refold it in exactly opposite manner • Share your experience with the group
Discussion • Share your experiences…. • How was the task? • What problem did you faced in completing the task? • What other situations (at home or work) are like this?
Need to be Creative • In today's continually changing, competitive and challenging world, those who can think Creatively will persist. • It opens you up to new possibilities and to change. • It helps you “Stand out of the crowd”. • It helps you in problem solving. • It helps you to bring liveliness to your life.
Individual Activity: Greeting • Greet people in different way / style • Style used by the previous participant cannot be repeated • Introduce yourself in a brief way.
Discussion • Share your experiences… • What difference you find between normal / routine greeting and this activity? To get what we have never had We must do What we have never done
Applying Creative Ideas • There is nothing more marvelous than thinking of a new idea. • There is nothing more magnificent than seeing a new idea working. • There is nothing more useful than a new idea that serves your purpose.

Creativity: Some Realities • Generation of NEW IDEA • It’s a simple SKILL • It can be LEARNED • It’s within …EVERYONES’S REACH
Individual Activity: Uses of a Refrigerator • List out uses of “Out of order” Refrigerator. • Conditions: • You cannot get it repaired. • You cannot sale it or dispose off. • You cannot give it as a gift.
Barriers to Creativity • Knowledge • It’s not possible • It seems very funny • No one has done it before Learn – Unlearn - Relearn

Module III Tools & techniques of creative thinking
Individual Activity: Held up in Elevator • Imagine you are held up in an elevator. • You are alone. • What will you do……..
Tools Tools to think CREATIVELY • Believe it can be done • Don’t let tradition paralyze your mind • Ask yourself “How can I do it better” • Ask yourself “How can I do more” • Practice asking and listening • Stretch your mind
Team Activity: Best Ideas • Working in a team look out around the room and choose any one object at random. • As a team come up with the best way to make money with the chosen object. • Just let your imagination run wild, and exercise your creative thinking ability. • Total 20 Minutes 10 min: Discussion + 2 min / team for presentation
Team Presentations Presentations • Team will present their idea of making money out of the selected object. • Each team gets 2 minutes for presentation
Techniques of Creative Thinking • The Creative Pause • Focus • Alternatives • Provocation
Module IV UNLEASH YOUR CREATIVITY
Team Activity: Concept Combination • Working in a team take two concepts or objects and combine them in some novel way. • Example: What can you come up with from the combination of a chair and a microwave? • Total 20 Minutes 10 min: Discussion + 2 min / team for presentation
Team Presentations Presentations • Team will present their idea of combining two different objects in a novel way. • Each team gets 2 minutes for presentation
Unleash Your Creativity • Capturing Grab Ideas, Carry writing pads • Challenging Put your self in difficult situation • Broadening More knowledge – more diverse • Surrounding Put unusual things on your desk.
Module V How to fight traditional thinking
Team Activity: Human Machine • Each team to form a human machine using all the members of the team to represent parts of the machine. • Human machine must resemble the machine selected by the team as far as possible. • Each team will demonstrate their machine with action & sound effect and other teams will attempt to guess the machine & its products. • Example: Photocopier • Total 15 Minutes 10 min: Discussion & Preparation + 2 min / team for presentation
