AIM OF THE PAPER: a comparative investigation considering four of the most relevant organizations dedicated to fact-checking activities worldwide: Aos Fatos and Lupa (Brazil); Factcheck.org and Politifact (United States).
LITERATURE REVIEW "what distinguishes contemporary fact-checkers such as PolitiFact and FactCheck.org from traditional journalistic practices is their focus on determining and calling attention to the accuracy of an assertion rather than eliminating errors and falsities in the writing of the report "(VARGO, GUO, AMAZEEN, 2017, p.2).
