  5. THE AMMONITES LORD IS AGAINST THE AMMONITES FOR THE CELEBRATION OF JERUSALEM’S: CAPTIVITY DESTRUCTION OF THE TEMPLE AND THE DESOLATION OF THE LAND

  6. ATTACKED ISRAEL AS WELL: The LORD sent Babylonian, Aramean, Moabite and Ammonite raiders against him. He sent them to destroy Judah, in accordance with the word of the LORD proclaimed by his servants the prophets.

Fear, and the pit (DEATH/HELL), and the snare, shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, says the LORD. He that flees from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that gets up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, says the LORD. Woe be unto thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perish: for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters captives. Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, says the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.

For the day of vengeance is in my heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore my own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. And I will tread down the people in my anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.

PROPHECY AGAINST PHILISTIA (GAZA)JEREMIAH 47 Because of the day that comes to spoil all the Philistines, and to cut off from Tyre and Zidon (Lebanon) every helper that remains: for the LORD will spoil the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor (Egypt). Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself? your sword of the LORD, how long will you be quiet? put up thyself into your scabbard, rest, and be still. How can it be quiet, seeing the LORD has given it a charge against Ashkelon (Gaza), and against the sea shore? there has he appointed it.

  39. ISAIAH PROPHECYS AGAINST EGYPT ISAIAH 19 A prophecy against Egypt: See, the LORD rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt. LORD HIMSELF SAYS “I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian— brother will fight against brother, neighbor against neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom. The Egyptians will lose heart, and I will bring their plans to nothing;

  40. ALTAR TO THE LORD IN EGYPT EGYPTIANS WILL BE GIVEN TO A CRUEL LORD (ANTICHRIST) In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the heart of Egypt, and there will be a monument to the Lord at its border. It will be a sign and a witness that the Lord (Jesus) of Heaven’s Armies is worshiped in the land of Egypt. When the people cry to the Lord for help against those who oppress them, he will send them a savior who will rescue them.

  41. ISAIAH 19:22-25 The Lord will strike Egypt, and then he will bring healing. For the Egyptians will turn to the Lord, and he will listen to their pleas and heal them. In that day Egypt and Assyria will be connected by a highway. The Egyptians and Assyrians will move freely between their lands, and they will both worship God. And Israel will be their ally. The three will be together, and Israel will be a blessing to them. For the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will say, “Blessed be Egypt, my people. Blessed be Assyria, the land I have made. Blessed be Israel, my special INHERITANCE!”

  43. TRIBULATION “Weep and wail for that day, for the terrible day is almost here— the day of the Lord! It is a day of clouds and gloom, a day of despair for the nations. A sword will come against Egypt, and those who are slaughtered will cover the ground. Its wealth will be carried away and its foundations destroyed.

  44. OTHER NATIONS ATTACKED The land of Ethiopia will be ravished. Ethiopia, Libya, Lydia (Turkey), all Arabia, and all their other allies will be destroyed in that war.

  45. MORE AGAINST EGYPT & ALLIES • “For this is what the Lord says: All of Egypt’s allies will fall, and the pride of her power will end. From Migdol to Aswan they will be slaughtered by the sword, says the Sovereign Lord. • Egypt will be desolate, surrounded by desolate nations, and its cities will be in ruins, surrounded by other ruined cities. • And the people of Egypt will know that I am the Lord when I have set Egypt on fire and destroyed all their allies. • At that time I will send swift messengers in ships to terrify the complacent Ethiopians. Great panic will come upon them on that day of Egypt’s certaindestruction. Watch for it! It is sure to come!
