  3. MEMBERSHIP: 2010-2011 Total:1,835 (+5.95% increase from 2009-2010) Chapters:70 Male Members: 434 Female Members: 1401

  4. MEMBERSHIP: CHAPTER STATS: Largest Chapter: Harvey: 89 Largest Male Membership: Harvey: 38 Largest Female Membership: MLS-Mohall: 62 Largest District: District 2 (Harvey, Towner TGU, Minot MCC/CC, Rolla, Sawyer, Velva, Bottineau, MLS-Mohall, St. John): 399

  5. MEMBERSHIP: 2011-2012 STATE GOAL: To increase overall membership by 2% and Increase overall male membership by 5%. Rationale: ♦ National FCCLA membership has seen a constant decline over the past 3 years. ♦ Increase diversity within our FCCLA population.

  8. MEMBERSHIP: 2011-2012 Affiliation Process: ♦ ND pays dues directly to national office for both state and national fees. Local dues are kept at local chapter. ♦ 2011-2012 Dues: State: $4.00 National: $9.00 Local: Determined By Each Chapter

MEMBERSHIP: AFFILIATION IS AN ONLINE PROCESS ONLY: ♦ Payment Options: Choose check Purchase Order Credit Card ♦ ALWAYS check back to make sure account is paid or you are counted ONLY as submitted REMEMBER: ♦ ALL students participating in FCCLA MUST pay dues before attending anything beyond the local level

Competitive Events 2011-2012 STAR Events--State Competition 2011-2012 ♦ See Handout in FCCLA Packet ♦ Districts may offer more or less competitive events ♦ Members may NOT participate in more than two Competitive Event at state; and may qualify to participate in only ONE event at the national level ♦ State Officers and District Presidents may only participate in ONE Competitive Event at state

Competitive Events 2011-2012 North Dakota Competitive Events 2011-2012 ♦ Must be run at the District Level --Top chapter in each event qualifies for state competition ♦ FCCLA Knowledge Bowl --Junior Category ONLY: Grades 6-9 ♦ FCCLA Creed Contest --Junior Category ONLY: Grades 6-9 ♦ “Cruisin’ the Catwalk” Fashion Design --Junior Category: Grades 6-9 --Senior Category: Grades 10-12 ♦ These events are NOT eligible for National Competition

Competitive Events 2011-2012 The Family and Consumer Sciences Knowledge BowlFamily and Consumer Sciences Knowledge Bowl: A team competition that challenges students’ knowledge of all aspects of Family and Consumer Sciences.  Level 1: FCCLA members take an online test to help their chapter qualify to send a team to a National Cluster Meeting.  Level 2: Qualifying teams of five members each complete a written test which highlights individuals strengths at the 2011 National Cluster Meeting they choose to attend (November 11-13: Minneapolis & Denver).  Level 3: Teams that advance from Level 2 compete head-to-head in this buzzer round of competition on Saturday of the National Cluster Meetings. Level 4: The last 15 teams standing battle through the buzzers during the final level of competition at the 2012 National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida. http://www.fcclainc.com/content/family-and-consumer-sciences-knowledge-bowl/

Meetings: ABOUT QUOTAS FOR CONVENTION ATTENDANCE ♦ 2012 For every 3 members you can bring 1 convention attendee If you have: 25 members—25/3 = 8 convention attendees 87 members—87/3 = 29 convention attendees ♦ Requests for Extended Quotas Will be given FIRST to new chapters, new advisers to chapters—must request to state adviser no later than FRIDAY, MARCH 9th.
