Lions Engineering And Drafting Services (LEADS) THE PROGRAMME: Phase I 3 months or 12 weeks of evening classes plus 12 Saturdays full-day sessions on Engineering drafting & knowledge and related computer skills Phase II Job opportunity provision and further computer skills and business related training • Lions Engineering And Drafting Services (LEADS) • OBJECTIVES • To provide skill training to the physically disabled individuals • To encourage independent and self-reliant living despite disabilities and accessibility difficulties • To facilitate employment opportunity for successful graduates, be it at home or in community Lions Engineering And Drafting Services (LEADS) BACKGROUND Accessibility and mobility difficulties have always been a major concern for the physically disabled, especially in striving for self-reliant and Independent Living (IL). These difficulties have also restricted them from contributing usefully to the Society. Lions Engineering And Drafting Services LEADSis an initiative in addressing such concerns by providing both skills training and job opportunities. The Programme was initiated by the Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur (West) together with HATI, and supported by Taylor’s College and MINCONSULT. The Lions club of Kuala Lumpur (West) and HATI are non-profit charity service organisations in providing health, care, education, and welfare to the community at-large.
