IPC media • IPC has more than 60 iconic media brands, IPC creates content for multiple platforms across print, online, mobile, tablets and events. • It is the UKs leading consumer magazine publisher that engages with 26m UK adults- almost two thirds of UK women and 42% of UK men, and their websites reach over 25 million users globally every month • It is committed to working in partnership with consumers, advertisers, business partners and employees to deliver value, service, innovation and creativity • They have three main publishing divisions; IPC connect, IPC inspire and IPC Southbank • IPC connect- mass market women’s division comprises famous women’s weeklies and TV entertainment brands • IPC inspire- their men’s portfolio has leisure and lifestyle brands • IPC Southbank- their upmarket women’s division comprises luxury fashion brands, lifestyle brands and home interest brands
EMAP media • EMAP is a British media company that specialises in the production of business-to-business magazines, the organisation of business events and conferences • It has 20 magazines in its business-to-business portfolio however it ceased publishing many magazines in its history • EMAP sold its French division, Australian consumer magazine division, radio, television and consumer media businesses to Bauer • However in march 2012 the company announced it would be renamed top right group and its magazines, events and data businesses would be separated into three standalone companies • EMAP continues to be used for the magazine operation • The database business is to be called 4C Group • The events unit will be called l2i Events group
