  2. Webinar Objectives • By the end of this webinar, participants will: • 1. Understand the structure of NAF Courses and Lessons • 2. Learn what NAF resources are available to you and how to access them

  3. Webinar Housekeeping • Participants will automatically be muted • “Raise Hand” feature should be used for technical support • Questions and comments should be typed in the “Question Box”

Every course is designed with the same basic structure • • Is 75-80 class periods in length • • Contains 18+/- lessons across 5-8 units • • Kicks-off with a look at an exemplar project artifact • • Includes an exploration of career opportunities • • Concludes with a community event to share the products of the culminating project in the course • Correlated to new Common Core Standards • Student Certificate Assessment Guide

Structure of a NAF lesson • Each includes three main components: • Lesson Plan, • Student Resource, • Teacher Resource; • also includes PowerPoints, videos, and other file types • Each lesson includes an assessment product • Docs are in Word format • Every lesson includes a literacy activity • Extensions and cross-curricular activities are provided at the end of each lesson
