Simple Programming for Setup • Timing information • There are only four seconds (s) between plugging in the IP Phone 2002power transformer and the appearance of the Nortel logo in the middle of the display. When you see the logo, you have one s to respond by pressing the four soft keys at the bottom of the display in sequence from left to right, one at a time. If you miss the one-s response time, the IP Phone 2002 attempts to locate the connect server. You can begin the power-up sequence again.

  6. 1. At the prompt EAP Enable?, you select 0 for No 2. At the prompt Manual CFG DHCP select 1 for Yes 3. At the prompt Manual CFG Cached IP select 0 for No

  7. 4. At the prompt Manual CFG DHCP select 1 for partial 5. At the prompt Manual CFG S1 IP enter your Campus IP numbers. (This is specific to your campus.) 6. At the prompt Manual CFG S1 port it is always 4100

  8. 7. At the prompt S1 Action is 1 8. At the prompt S1 retry count is 25 9. At the prompt S2 IP it is the same as S1

  9. 10. At the S2 Port is always 4100 11. At the S2 action is 1 12. At the S2 retry count is 10

  10. 13. At the CFG XAS choose 0 for no. 14. At the voice vlan choose 0 for No 15. At the PC Port choose 1 for on. (This allows you to plug your PC into the phone for the network.)

  11. 16. At the data vlan choose 0 for No 17. At the PCUntagALL choose 0 for NO 18. At the DUPLEX choose 0 for auto

  12. 19. At the DUPLEX choose 0 for AUTO 20. At the GARP Ignore choose 0 for No 21. The system will restart.

  13. 22. After reboot input the node. (This is particular to your campus.) 23. Next Input the TN Number. (This is particular to the extension of the phone. You must obtain this number from your phone system administrator.)
