The Weak Things God Hath Chosen • I Corinthians 1: 27-29 • 27But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

The Weak Things God Hath Chosen • I Corinthians 1: 27-29 • 29That no flesh should glory in his presence.
Humble Christian Hero or Heroine • A hero or heroine means a person who shows a great courage and also is admired for his or her achievements and qualities.
God’s Purpose for the Weak Things He Uses • God raises up people to achieve His purposes. • God has a way of taking nobodies and making them into somebodies through the power of Jesus Christ.
Gideon The Farmer • Judges 6:11-16 • 11And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.

What Gideon Thought of Himself • Gideon had seen the tragedies. • Gideon did not see miracles. • Gideon thought that God forsook him. • Gideon was under the rule of the Midianites. • Gideon was poor. • Gideon was not well known.
Gideon’s Weakness • Gideon had fear of fighting. • Gideon had fear of dying. • Gideon had a habit of indecision. • Gideon had cowardice.
Gideon The Transformed Man • God’s power transformed Gideon: • Indecision to acts of heroism • Hiding to facing • Fear to faith • Cowardice to courage
