Disability Accessible • Ramp at the Entrance and interior elevator • Wheelchair/Stroller Accessible • Compliance with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act)-handicap parking, restrooms, water fountains • Provides Guided Tours for Sight Impaired • Currently making disability accessibility improvements for fall 2008

  4. School Programs • Will be tied to the Alabama Course of Study Objectives and Grade Levels. • Full color brochure and newsletter. • Exhibits • Soar High Center (piloting basics sessions) • Hands On activities for all age levels. • Boy Scouts and Girl Scout Badge Workshop

Into The Future • South Wing • Tuskeegee Airmen Exhibit • Korean War Jets Exhibit • Helicopter Exhibit • South Wing stage and sound system and projection equipment. • Educational Classroom • 2 Additional Staff Members • Audiovisual Presentations will be added to new exhibits and building simulators. • The Museum’s Educational Programs will include more focus on History of Flight.

  6. Recommendations: • We hesitate to make many recommendations because the museum is currently upgrading their facilities. We would like to reevaluate in the fall when the changes have been made. • I-Pods or other sound recording tour keyed to various themed visits. Check out I-Pod at the admissions desk. Then have Themed Visits keyed by number on I-Pod; for example, WWI History, or The TuskeegeeAirmen Exhibit.
