Professional Organizations • All engineering disciplines have their own professional organization. • Each has a student chapter on Lafayette’s campus • Regardless of discipline, great resource for engineers of all types and of all ages.
AICHE • American Institute of Chemical Engineers • Approximately 40,000 members in 90 countries. • Members from academia and industry. • Resources available for all chemical engineers. • http://www.aiche.org
Membership in AICHE • Being in ChE in Lafayette makes you an automatic member in the student chapter. • From industrial donations, membership in the national chapter is free for all ChE undergrads. • Apply at (form is one page): http://www.aiche.org/community/students/student-membership

What AICHE Does AIChE atLafayette Integrating Underclassmen Social Professional Development Outreach Professional development focuses on (1) making students aware of what it means to be a chemical engineer and (2) providing opportunities for students to become more attractive candidates for grad school and/or the job force.
