E-books and Dissertations • Taylor and Francis Online e-book Library, via OxLIP. Available 24 hours a day; two hour time limit; searchable by keyword; option to print 5%. Do an initial keyword search on ‘film’ or ‘cinema’ to find relevant titles. • [ASLIB] Index to Theses (Great Britain and Ireland) and Dissertation Abstracts (USA), available via OxLIP. Cover more than 1.5 million doctoral dissertations and masters theses, with abstracts and some with 24 page previews.
Scholarly Articles • Use OLIS to retrieve a list of journals held in Oxford (s=motion pictures – periodicals) • Use TDNET to access specific electronic journals • Use the MLA to find journal articles on a particular topic (e.g. Italian neorealism) • Use LION to find journal articles and specific information on individual directors • Use the Film Indexes Online to locate articles related to specific films and directors
