Update on Junction Box Design Edyta Pilorz (CracowUniversity of Technology)
Beginning of testing the components for Junction Box Rotarex Valve – conditions for the test: - the valve was tested on the return pipe (liquid/gas mixture) - three different temperatures were settled: • -25 oC • 0 oC • 15 oC • four different loads were settled: • 0 kW • 2 kW • 5 kW • 7 kW Goal of the test: to check pressure drop across the valve in different vapour quality conditions
Beginning testing the components for Junction Box The measurements of pressure and temperature were made: • at the entrance of the manifold, • before and after the valve. The values which were calculated: • vapour quality – the mass fraction of the gas in two phase flow, • void fraction – the volume fraction of the gas in two phase flow. Plots obtained:
Constraints for Junction Box to be updated! - available space in the alcove: • length: 1560 mm • height: 1000 mm • width: 181 mm • to be hanged in the alcove
The very preliminary design It doesn’t contain all the components yet, will be working on that in the next weeks. Preliminary design - for September.
