w/b 10.11.14 TftW- Remembrance Day
Approximately 16.5 million people (soldiers and civilians) died in WW1 of all nationalities. That’s the equivalent of everyone dying that lives in: Weston- super- Mare, Clevedon, Portishead, Bristol, Exeter, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Liverpool, Sheffield, Edinburgh and London. Or the equivalent of everyone in Primary and Secondary school in the UK dying…. Twice.
What is it that we are remembering on the 11th November (and why is it on this date?)Why is it important that we have a remembrance day?
