  4. Task Force Objective Collectively develop forms that would ease the process for renewal applications The intent is NOT to change state regulations.

  5. Process • Determined which forms to address first • Initial application for approval to operate • Renewal application • Adding a new program • Decided on renewal application • Compared renewal application data elements of the six states represented on Task Force

  6. Commonalities • Used three elements of the six states’ renewal applications • Overall application form • Faculty reporting requirements • Program listing requirements

  7. Benefits • Efficiency for states and schools • Moves away from paper • Creates a database with various reporting capabilities • Reduces current repetition of information • Assists with transparency and accountability

  10. Next Steps • Develop a pilot • Seek others willing to participate in the pilot • Gather research based on the pilot • Demonstrate an electronic renewal application that satisfies multiple states’ requirements at 2011 NASASPS Conference
