‘’Beware the monstagon, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the owl bird, and ignore The ferocious Bandersnatch!’’
He took his sharp sword in hand: Long time the evil foe he sought— • So rested he by the took e pine tree, And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in petrified thought he stood, The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame, Came pushing through the thick wood, And stomping as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through The sharp blade went squish! He left it dead, and with its head He went trotting back.
“And has thou slain the Monstagon? Come to my arms, my beamish boy! O Fantastic day! Hip hip! Hooray!’ He reveled in his joy.
‘Twas brilling, and the slithy troves Did gyre and gamble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.
