Dates to Remember • 3 February 2012-Region 3 Competition @ Atlanta Technical College • 10 February 2012- Inclement weather date • 31 January 2012 4:00PM- Chick-Fil-A lunch orders due (this is the absolute latest) • 24 January 2012–Region 3 Registration due. Email to: Jessica_Stallings@gwinnett.k12.ga.us • 3 February 2012- Registration fees due
2012 Region Registration Packet (included) • Eligibility verification form for the school. • Verification of online roster submission. • Code of Behavior for each student. • Medical, Photo, Liability release for each student. • 24 January 2012–Region 3 Registration due. Competition Changes for 2012 • Sample Resumes on line (No handwritten resumes will be accepted) • PDP testing may be used if there is a tie-breaker that cannot be broken by the judging process • Addition of Pin Design contest on Region Level – artwork and interview • Addition of T-shirt Design contest on Region Level – artwork and interview • TeamWorks – includes alternate member (register 5) • Welding Fabrication – includes alternate member (register 4)

Top team from each region will compete at state.

2011/2012 Theme SkillsUSA: Champions at Work The topic to be addressed by contestants in the Chapter Display, Prepared Speech and Promotional Bulletin Board contests. Skilled and Motivated
2012/2013 Region Vice-President • Student Position • Must be 11th grade or lower • Send in nominations • Each nominee will have the opportunity to speak at Region. • Two delegates from each school will vote at Region. • Winner will be announced at Awards.
