  2. UNCW - Athletics and Academics • Athletics Council - faculty, staff, students • Chair - Tammy Hunt • FAR - Bill Bolduc (ex officio AC member) • Assist & guide Athletics Dept. in maintaining academic integrity

  3. UNCW - Athletics Council • Review student-athlete grades and attendance • Advise Athletics regarding campus life, academic issues & policies • Review “missed class” requests from coaches/teams • Review @ sport @ 2-3 years

UNCW - FAR • Faculty Athletics Representative • Assist/review NCAA compliance issues • Advise AD re. policies & procedures relating to athletics • Evaluate/advise regarding exception requests • Member FARA, collaborate/consult with FARs from CAA, NCAA • Assist in recruit campus visits • Report to Faculty Senate

  6. UNCW - Athletics and Academics • MBB, WS&D, MCC - Top 10 % in NCAA DI academically 2006-2007 • MS, WT 100% Grad Success Rate (5 teams > 90%) • All 19 teams > 925 baseline score (1000) in the Academic Progress Rate (APR) report
