Internal Vacancy • IT Systems SpecialistLocation: Head Office (Pymble) • Job Status: Full Time Reporting To: Senior IT Specialist • Overview: • This position is responsible for the maintenance & support of IT systems used by internal and external customers • Job Responsibilities: • Provide national support for Alpha Open VMS environment • Provide national support for in-house applications, especially TEAM • Support of the RF (Radio Frequency) environment and relevant applications • Selection, configuration, installation & implementation of hardware and software • Extensive project work for new systems and applications • Skills, Knowledge and Personal Attributes: • Good oral and written communication skills • Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills • Excellent project and time management skills • Able to work as an individual as well as within a team environment • Excellent knowledge of the Open VMS operating system and Alpha Computers • Sound understanding of current communication facilities and TCP/IP network protocol • Working knowledge of Alpha / VMS cluster technologies and Storage Area Networks • Excellent working knowledge of DCL - Digital Command Language • Working knowledge of MS Office programs and Windows Server 2000/2003 • Qualifications and Experience: • Open VMS Systems Administrator certification or equivalent experience needed • Exposure to VMS Backup software and SAN technologies • Tertiary qualification in a computer related subject would be desirable • Please forward your application and resume to: • Damian Klepser • Senior IT System Specialist, Head Office (Pymble) • By 5pm Friday 20th July 2007 • damian.klepser@startrackexpress.com.au • (Relocation costs will be the responsibility of the employee) The “Fair Dealing Policy” supports promotion from within
