Department Personnel Changes • Two new ECC Police Officers (January) • Two new CEC Police Officers (December)
Camera Project • 5 Cameras currently installed • System is now recording video streams • Retention is 30 days • Video can be seen in the Communications Center
Communications Center Operations • New radio infrastructure almost complete to support patrol operations on CEC campus • Anticipated completion date February 1st 2009 • New back end equipment as well as console equipment to drive the system • New Computer Aide Dispatch and Records Management system installed and deployed • Taking 9-1-1 calls from CEC campus since January 2008 • Taking wireless 9-1-1 calls from T-Mobile subscribers on ECC campus only • Adding a third dispatch workstation • Will support camera monitoring & campus alarm monitoring • Center processed 44,842 telephone calls in 2008 • Includes both 10 digit (i.e. 310-660-3100) and 9-1-1 lines

Parking Operations • All 10 ECC parking permit machines have been replaced with brand new machines • Now take both money & credit cards • Networked allowing for real time remote monitoring • Will be installing machines at CEC in the next few months
