Cardiac/Vascular Certification The Cardiac/Vascular Certification exam was developed by PCNA with the American Nurses Credentialing Center in an effort to give nurses a chance to enhance their knowledge of CVD prevention and management. • Eligibility Criteria (for all levels of nurses) • Hold a current, active unrestricted RN license within a state or territory of the US or the professional, legally recognized equivalent in another country • Have practiced the equivalent of two years full time as a registered nurse • Have a minimum of 2,000 hours of clinical practice and 30 hours of continuing education in cardiac vascular nursing within the last 3 years Receive the following credentials: RN, BC Copyright © 2007 by the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association
