    5. Advanced Placement Is a Program That Allows Academically Capable Students to Study on a Collegiate Level While Still in High School. Advanced Placement is a vehicle for creating Equity and Access by providing ALL students with the skills needed to be successful in Advanced Placement classes.

AP students are better prepared for college level classes AP allows students to earn College Credit or Advanced Standing in college programs while still in high school AP levels the playing field Admissions officers report: AP students are motivated, intelligent, academically prepared, not threatened by a challenge, and they will complete their college education.

    19. A.P. Grades Your grade will be based on the percentage of points that you earn out of the total possible points available from tests, quizzes, worksheets, notebook, and projects. A total point system shall be used. It is advised that students keep a record of points for their own reference. At the end of the grading period, the students’ points shall be calculated with the total amount of points available and a percentage formulated: A = 90 – 100 D = 60 – 69 B = 80 – 89 F = 59 – below C = 70 – 79
