  1. DIFFERENT TYPES OF FINISHING USED ON MARBLE Marble is a well-known material used for different things such as furniture and flooring. They are popularly used in tabletop and the most known thing about marble is that it offers a multitude of possibilities when it comes to tone, pattern, and finishing. The marble coffee table and marble dining table are some of the well-known pieces of furniture that use marble and are always in demand. There are specific types of finishing used on marble that are better suited for your furniture. This finishing will enhance the beauty of your furniture and protect it from weather and any accidental damage. The different types of finishing are: Polished: This gives a lustrous finish, a polished marble is one of the most commonly used marble finish. This finish provides an elegant high-end look to any furniture, especially in high-visibility furniture like white marble coffee tables, marble console tables, marble dining tables, etc. in the living room and when used on daily used furniture you can get regular polishing done to remove fine scuffing and scratches. Honed: When polishing the marble surface using abrasives product provides a honed finish characteristic by a smooth and velvety finish. That anyone can use honing as a finish or even as a restoration process to fix the damage on their marble furniture. The honed finish is well-suited for a grey marble coffee table as it's the living room furniture. And it's a place where a person spends most of their time and is used daily so it's more prone to scratches compared to a polished finish. Sawed: It’s also referred to as raw or dressed marble. This finishing marble has a rough, shaggy, and dull finish achieved by using diamond wires or blades. And it has a rough texture with the surface offering a better grip for a marble top coffee table. Sandblasted: The name itself gives the idea of the finish. This finishing marble is made by blasting small particles of silicon or corundum ‘sand’ on the marble surface. And doing so corrodes the stone, giving it a more textured appearance.
