What is the difference between a night stand and bedside table? Often people interchange the words night table and the bedside table when they look to purchase a nightstand. But little did they know there is a difference between these two. The difference between these two lies in its storage option. When it comes to the Oak bedside cabinet, it may or may not have storage to option to hold all your essentials. Whereas the nightstand has a proper drawer to hold everything safe. Both the night stand and the bedside table play an important role in enhancing the look of your bedroom. They come in a wide range of shapes and sizes with outstanding eye-pleasing features. If you are thinking to renovate your bedroom, then investing in a nightstand or oak bedside table would be a great option. They are technically the same thing but a nightstand normally has at least one drawer in it and a bedside table may or may not have a drawer in it and could be called as a night table as well. The most inexpensive and common bedside table would be a table with just a cloth over it with a glass on top. A nightstand simply has one usage which is to keep lamps next to you bed. Bed lamps are used for night time reading as there are people who loves to read a good book before they go to bed, thus this is the reason the bed lamp has to be kept very close to the bed and on a nightstand. A night stand does not have extra storage to keep you essentials whereas for bedside table you can have one or more than one drawer as per your convenience. The bedside tables are broader than nightstands and have a good space for decorative items like showpieces, flower vases, photo frames etc. Though the nightstand and the bedside table are different pieces of furniture but there functionality is the same. A bedside table is something which you keep near your bed to have all your knick- knacks at a reachable length without leaving the comfort or your bed, Long story short you can either have a bedside table or a night stand next to your bed or use it as per your need and convenience.
