Some history of the co-operation • 2007: Google starts experimenting with ways of making public data available to users • 2009: Google contacts Eurostat to find out if they can use and visualise Eurostat data • Harmonised data for Europe • Free of charge • Joint work on 2 projects • Google public data explorer • How to improve the visibility of Eurostat figures by placing them at the top of search results in the Google search engine (under development) Eurostat – Google co-operation
