If it is cut too thick or too flat, the gloss will be less. As for shapes, the round, round brilliant diamond is the most requested because this shape is perfectly symmetrical and allows the light to reflect particularly well which will make it very bright.<br>

  1. The Ideal Diamond for Her As the iconic and sexy Marilyn Monroe said "Diamonds are a girl's best friend"! This adage still makes sense today, women love diamonds! There are all shapes, all colors, and all sizes. To make your choice, besides her tastes, you will have to take into account her lifestyle. Once on her finger, the engagement ring will leave her rarely so decide according to her work and her different activities. The ring must not interfere with it on a daily basis and must be designed to last in time. The rule of 4 C To help you select the right diamond, which one will please and which will suit your budget, you must refer to the 4 C rule: carat, clarity, color, cut. Carat: to make simple, the carat is the measure of weight of the diamond. 1 carat is equivalent to 0.20 grams. The more carats the diamond reaches, the more expensive it will be, but there is no relationship of proportionality between price and weight. It all depends on the "state" of the stone. Clarity: This involves determining the purity of the diamond. It naturally contains impurities, inclusions, more or less visible to the naked eye. The more pure the diamond, the more expensive it will be. A measurement scale has been established with different levels of purity: FL, IF, VVS1, VVS2, VS1, VS2, SI1, SI2, SI3, I1, I2, I3. FL means no visible defect at 10 (x 10) magnification and I3 means that the inclusions are visible to the naked eye and therefore the overall gloss is impaired. Color: just like clarity there is a scale measuring the degree of coloring of a diamond ranging from D to Z. D being a colorless diamond, it is rare and therefore sought, and the more one goes towards the Z and the more the diamond will be Tinted and said "fancy".

  2. Cutting: the cut or size, amounts to judging the proportions, angles and shape of the diamond. If it is cut too thick or too flat, the gloss will be less. As for shapes, the round, round brilliant diamond is the most requested because this shape is perfectly symmetrical and allows the light to reflect particularly well which will make it very bright. Otherwise, you will have the choice with other shapes like marquise, pear, heart, princess, radiant, emerald, oval. But the princess cut diamond is also the rage right now.
