  6. VISION: What is BBC Children in Need for? BBC Children in Need exists to change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. OUR VISION: BBC Children in Need’s vision is that every child in the UK has childhood that: is safe is happy and secure gives them the chance to reach their potential

Improving children’s lives in the UK We’ve identified seven BUILDING BLOCKS important in all children’s lives For many children, their building blocks are weakened by the DISADVANTAGES they face We fund projects that make DIFFERENCES that help prevent or overcome these effects These projects will work DIRECTLY with children or their immediate personal ENVIRONMENTS
