Classroom Expectations • Focus on POSITIVE consequences • Independent: Tickets, clips, praise, intrinsic rewards • Small Group: Table Points, praise, intrinsic rewards • Whole Class: Star Jar, PAWS points, Ticket Jar, praise, intrinsic rewards
Schedule • 7:45 – 9:10 Math • 9:15 – 10:15 Snack/Literacy • 10:20 – 11:05 Specials • 11:10 – 12:25 Literacy (continued) • 12:30 – 1:00 – Lunch • 1:00 – 1:30 – Recess • 1:35 – 2:15 – Science/Social Studies • 2:15 – 2:20 - Pack-Up/Dismissal
Classroom Procedures • Check and initial behavior calendars each night • Please remember to record reading minutes and sign planners each night. • 80 minutes/week at least • Incentives at mid-year and end of the year • Wallaby Folders and newsletters are sent each Monday • Please send in a note following an absence

Quality Fourth Grade Work • Accurate answers • Answering ALL parts to a question • Complete sentences • Showing all work (math) • Neatness • Name • Working independently / Asking for help when needed • Good work habits will help your child in fourth grade and beyond!
Standards Based Grading • Homework is practice – encourage good work study habits/opportunity for responsibility (not for grade) • Reading • Center work, in-class assessments • Math • Pre/Post Tests, Small Groups
Field Trips • Currently under consideration • Field trips will be announced once it is CERTAIN they are going to occur
Miscellaneous • Textbooks • Volunteers • Need to register each year with WCPSS • Birthdays • Snacks – store-bought, share at lunchtime
