  1. KEYTROLLER Wireless Relay Anti-theft Devices

  2. Your equipment is: easy to steal + easy to dispose of! • Equipment theft rates have reached an all time high, costing construction industry almost $1 billion annually!! • Incidents of stolen equipment have increased about 20% every year since 1996! • Unlike cars, equipment is relatively easy to “unload” on the used market---making it an attractive product to steal • Equipment is commonly left on secluded job sites and quick hot wiring or universal ignition keys help thieves move the equipment quickly

  3. Equipment theft statistics(by state and age of vehicle)courtesy www.nerusa.com • 2005 • 1. TX • 2. CA • 3. FL • 4. MO • 5. SC • 6. NC • 7. GA • 8. TN • 9. IN • 10. OK • 1. 2004 19 % • 2. 2003 15 % • 3. 2005 14 % • 4. 2000 10 % • 5. 2002 7 % • 6. 2001 6 % • 7. 1999 6 % • 8. 1998 6 % • 9. 1997 3 % • 10. 1996 3 %

  4. Equipment theft statistics (by vehicle type) • Skid Steer 32% • Tractor 16% • Backhoe 15% • Loader 9% • Excavators 6% • Based on 5,105 theft reports submitted to NER in 2005. • The top 5 types of equipment account for 78% of all losses. • ‘Tractor’ is a broad category, including compact, utility and agricultural tractors. • The two key factors in the type of equipment most likely to be stolen are value and mobility - the higher the value of an item and the easier it is to transport, the greater the chance of theft.

  5. Theft Compared to Other Risks • Theft is by far the largest risk an equipment owner faces---far surpassing: • Collision • Fire Damage • Vandalism • Other ----*windstorms, hail, water damage, flood, and earthquakes • Theft is not only the most frequent loss, but also the risk that a good risk management program can have the greatest effect on reducing. This means that there is a great difference in the level of risk between an equipment owner that takes certain key theft prevention precautions and one that does nothing to protect his equipment. • There are simple steps that equipment owners can take to reduce the likelihood of theft and improve the chances of recovery. Installation of a KEYENABLERis one of the simplest, easiest and cost effective theft prevention you and use to protect your equipment

  12. Why use a KEYENABLER. KISS or START-SMART device? • Easy theft prevention • Vehicle can’t be “hot wired” at ignition key • Vehicle can NOT be started with another key that works on your vehicle • Keeps untrained and unauthorized operators from starting the vehicle (Each operator has is own code/card) • NO KEYS!! (Start directly from keypad button) • Data on usage of vehicle and code/card expiration (optional)

  13. Why a wireless relay? • Prevents “hot wiring” theft at ignition key • Prevents using a “good” key if not a “good” driver • Unsuccessful thieves will give up and move on to easier target • Easy to install in ignition, starter or fuel pump circuit • Multiple wireless relays can be used for higher security and enabled by the same device • Can be ordered in both 12 or 24VDC versions • Inexpensive theft PREVENTION for all equipment

  14. Wireless RelaysCan be installed on ANY vehicle! • Available with 12 and 24VDC wireless relays • Wireless relay installation • Wired between ignition circuit and power supply • Wired between fuel pump and power supply • Wired between starter and power supply • Multiple wireless relays can be installed for higher level of security

  15. Easy Installation • Wireless relay is installed in ignition, starter or fuel pump circuit preventing start of the vehicle unless it is wirelessly enabled by any of our various anti-theftdevices. • KEYENABLER, START-SMART and KISS models are wired to vehicle power, FOB and Genie units are battery powered and carried in the operator’s pocket.

  16. Eliminate key problems!! • Keys can be completely ELIMINATED! • Buying system with BOTH wired and wireless relays • Buying wireless relay version and replacing key switch with lever switch • START button or lever switch will NOT start the vehicle until the wireless relay is first enabled by the keypad! • Many pieces of construction equipment can use the SAME key to start the vehicle—many times stolen equipment is not hotwired, simply started with another key that also works with that vehicle. KEYENABLER, START-SMART and KISS units eliminate this easy method of stealing equipment.

  17. KEYENABLERKeypad Model KN105B • How it works: • Keypad is programmed from keypad with programming code---entering 4 digit codes or RFID card (optional) IM or SM models programmed by computer through serial port connection • “Good” code or RFID card is entered---keypad LEDs show acceptance and START is pressed • Wireless signal is sent to wireless relay---enabling it • Engine is started/stopped with: • Dual relay model • Pressing START/STOP button on keypad • Wireless relay only model • Turning key or lever switch in place of key • Events art time/date stamped (IM or SM models only) for downloading by computer, CYBERKEY or CYBERWIRE wireless radio • Available in 12 or 24 volt anti-theft models
