History: • HP and DreamWorks SKG were the first to introduce a collaboration studio for simulating face-to-face business meetings across long distances. • Officially was announced by the CEO of DreamWorks Jefferey Katzenberg in 2005. • In 2002 during the production time of Shrek 2 DreamWorks felt the need of communication between key creative talent in different locations.

  3. They were not satisfied with the available videoconferencing system • So they designed the system which HP later took and turned into Halo. • Their first implementation of this technology was to connect Californian teams in Glendale and Redwood City.

  4. Technological Details : • To connect Via Halo organizations purchase at least two Halo rooms setup for six people each. • Three Plasma displays in each room enable participants to see in life-size images. • Rooms come with studio quality audio and lightings.
