Collection Development By Conference Call(s) and Email • Considered & discarded the idea of Max Access(always available titles): • netLibrary Duplication • Too costly • Contrary to our Bestseller philosophy • No one wants responsibility for annual fee • NHCPL originally agreed to purchase additional copies of titles with >4 holds---Now trying to distribute among the group • Before end of June 06 all members agreed to purchase an additional $1000 worth of titles and MORE • DCPLS agrees to keep up with NYT Bestsellers • 06-07 Existing members agree to stagger their allotted $1000 content purchase through the year • Assume additional content beyond $1000 will be added • New members will add at least $1500 content in the first year

Contract Says: For new Participating Libraries who join the Consortium during the quarterly enrollment periods of January, April, July and October, the participation fees shall be as follows: a)       One time setup fee: $1,500.00 per library b)       Initial content contribution: $1,500.00 per library Annual hosting fee: $12,000.00/ year divided among those Participating Libraries as of July 1st of the current year Required yearly content contribution: $1,000.00 per library For the avoidance of doubt, the yearly $1,000.00 content contribution must be contributed each July, regardless of additional content purchases made greater than $1,000 in the previous contract year. Participating Libraries shall be permitted to make additional content purchases at any time, subject to the terms and conditions of the Agreement.
