  3. Recommended Font Sizes This design uses Arial 36 for main text and Arial 50 for titles. Modify this file as you like. Just remember your audience in the back!

  4. Font Type Using just one font type is fine! Arial (sans serif) and Times Roman (serif) are common choices.

  5. Font Style Use font styles sparingly.

  6. Font Color Generally, using one contrasting font color is fine!

  7. Background Color Use a single consistent and uncluttered background for all of your slides, just like this one.

  8. Amount of Text Use few words. Less is more.

  9. Images Are Optional Use relevant images only. Images should be clear. Provide a caption; 28 pt recommended.

  10. Transitions And Effects If you use a transition, try to restrict yourself to one type of effect. Avoid extraneous “action sounds”.

  11. Consistency Consistency of format is the best strategy for presenting a clear and concise visual message.

  12. Directions After you edit this Powerpoint file, save it as your own template file. Use this file for your own presentations.
