There are three (3) types of FrIction: Sliding Friction Rolling Friction Fluid Friction
Sliding friction •Is the force that allows two or more objects not to SLIP or SLIDE over one another. It counters the tendency that objects would have to move in a certain direction. Ex. Of SLIDING FRICTION is pushing a heavy rock in your path, or moving BOX on the FLOOR.

ROLLING FRICTION •A force which opposes the motion of any body which is rolling over the surface of another. An example of Rolling Friction would be like a skateboard rolling on a sidewalk. Car running up a hill. Someone pushing a wheelbarrow.
FLUID FRICTION • Fluid friction occurs when two layers that exist in a fluid or a gas are moving in relative motion to one another and it is often affected by the velocity of the fluid or gas. Examples of fluid friction are fish swimming through water, an airplane flying through the air and a motorboat skidding over water. Although fluid friction refers to friction through water, it can also apply to air.
