  1. PUTIKON HOVI RUSSIAN-FINNISH REGIONAL PROJECT IN ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND AWARENESS The project started in 2008 The hotel was ecolabelled in 2010 Head of the project–Semen Gordyshevsky, Chairman of the Ecological Union

Putikon Hovi – a Finnish manor of the XVIII-th century • The manor is situated in one of the most beautiful corners of Southern Savo, between Imatra and Savonlinna. • Among its attractions are newly restored dwellings and household outbuildings, a dumb and a mill wheel, as well as comfortable recreation zones

  3. Guest rooms The interiors of the guest rooms combine both traditional and modern principles of ecological design(wooden furniture, natural finishing materials,power saving facilities, etc.). All the hotel is a non-smoking area.

  4. Putikon Hovi – the ecolabelled hotel Putikon Hovi is rightly proud of its impeccable ecology. For maintaining highest ecological standards the manor, first in the Northen countries, was awarded the sign of Nordic Swan – an international certificate of ecolabelling.

  5. Putikon Hovi – eco-food and eco-lifestyle • Only high quality food products, including the ecolabelled ones, are used for cooking in the hotel kitchen.The manor has its own garden yielding different kinds of apples and berries

Ecological projects, conferences, seminars Putikon Hovi is an experimental ground for elaboration and realization of regional and international projects devoted to ecology and protection of environment. Its conference-room serves as a venue for numerous round tables, seminars, and workshops. In addition, Putikon Hovi has become a home for regular meetings of the Ecological Partnership Association.

TheArt-gallery «Putikonhovi» and the Ethnographical Museum • Among the major attractions of the manor are the art-gallery «Putikonhovi» and the Ethnographical Museumwith permanent and temporal exhibitions devoted to folk art, traditional domestic activities, and traditional methods of farming. • One of the main subjects the exhibitions and art-projects are focused on is ecology and protection of environment

  8. Putikon Hovi – a place for ecological tourism and recreation • ThePutikon Hovi area is a wonderful place for outdoor recreation. It is ideal for walking, biking, and horse riding. In addition, the lovers of eco-tourism may do boating or canoeing on Lake Saima. In winter it is good to ski in the picturesque hills surrounding the lake
