ABOUT US The established 27 years ago as a not-for-profit organisation (society) with the aim to support the governments and other stakeholders towards catalyzing their capacity building program in all domains of Road Traffic Management, of which safety is the integral and boding factor. SIGNIFICANCE OF A ROAD SAFETY PROGRAM • In a country as huge as ours, the one thing that is imperative to improve people's knowledge about road safety is a comprehensive road safety program. • The purpose of a road safety program is to mitigate the risk of accident fatalities on the road and to improve the standards of forensic accident investigation. • To further this cause, the Institute of Road Traffic Education (IRTE) was set up in 1991 as a not-for-profit organisation.

  4. It has launched M.Sc programs in Forensic Science and Traffic Management to increase the level of road safety education in India. M.Sc Forensic Science As a road safety program, an M.Sc. in Forensic Science covers forensics, crime and investigative techniques, forensic ballistics and photography, forensic physics and biology. M.Sc in Traffic Management IRTE's College of Traffic Management (CTM) is the first institute in Asia to launch a master's program in Traffic Management to go along with their M.Sc. in Forensic Science. Its two-year M.Sc. in Traffic Management provides students with the skills needed to design and manage traffic and transportation management systems.
