  10. Answer • Civilization began in the Indus River Valley just like it did in Sumer and Egypt. It began around 2500 B.C.E.. • A freshwater supply allows life to prosper, not only people but animals and vegetation.

  12. Answer • The cities were planned, the streets were wide, straight, and paved. They built their cities out of mud bricks and they baked the bricks in ovens. Sewer systems were built to carry waste out of the city.
