  2. Founders of Wicca(Early 1930’s) • Gavin Frost Yvonne Frost • A Wiccan High Priest, Gerald Gardner, was the founder of “Wicca” in the 1960s. He made this religion popular again in the 1950s to early 1960s.

  3. Followers and Location Wicca has one to three million followers. Some celebrities also follow this religion like Sully Erna, Laurie Cabot, Heather Graham. Any place and everywhere is a place of worship for wiccans. It’s not about the place, the only thing that matters is the worship.

  4. Religious Belief • They are polytheistic, they believe in recantation until they reach the Summerland. • The life’s purpose- It is harms none, do what you will. • Wicca has no scared texts • Wiccan is witchcraft

  5. Important Symbols This pentacle is a symbol of Wicca. This is the symbol for the Horned God. This is the symbol for the Triple Goddess.

  6. Important Gods/Goddesses • Wiccans worship one god and one goddess. They are traditionally viewed at the Triple Goddess and the Horned God. This is the Horned God. This is the Triple Goddess.

Wicca Religion • Teens are drawn to Wicca because the view on the religion is balanced. • Many young people see other religions to be restrictive. • They believe that there is a discrimination within some Christian churches. • 60% under 30 years of age; 62% were females. • Wiccans can cast a circle and perform other rituals either alone or within a group.

  8. Wicca Religion Cont. • They believe what they see on tv. • They believe that they can gain control over other people and scare their friends with treats of curses.
