  3. Ohio Energy Office The Ohio Energy Office works to grow the economy of the state by connecting companies and communities to financial and technical resources to deploy renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency.

  4. Putting energy efficiency to work in Small Businesses Designed for businesses that use less than $150,000 on yearly energy costs • Free and Easy to use • Available at: • www.ohioenergyoffice.ohio.gov

Deploying Advanced Energy • Distributed Energy Resources (“power at the point of use”) – Combined heat and power – Clean-burning technologies – Landfill or biomass methane for electric generation Maximum Project Size: 25 MW Maximum Grant Share: 25% of project cost Maximum Grant Award: $100,000 • • •

Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Manufacturing Energy Efficiency NOFA 07-04 http://www.odod.state.oh.us/cdd/oee/ELFGrant .htm#NOFA_07-04 This program focuses on the utilization of energy efficiency measures and technologies, including efficient lighting, HVAC and refrigeration, motors and improved building envelope. Manufacturing facilities are eligible to apply. • Incentive and Maximum award: 25% of project cost up to $50,000

Deploying Advanced Energy • Renewable Energy Program (NOFA 08-09) Rebates are available for projects installed in the following utility territories: AEP, Duke First Energy and DP&L – Solar Electric PV - Minimum 10kW DC • Lesser of $3.50 per watt or 50% of eligible cost – Solar Thermal - Minimum 200k/btu/day • Lesser of $30 per kBtu/day or 50% of eligible cost – Wind - Minimum 10kW DC • Lesser of $2.00 per watt or 50% of eligible cost $200,000 max for end-user applications Now allows third party ownership, up to $250,000 • • Cleveland, OH Great Lakes Science Center

Deploying Advanced Energy • Alternative Fuels Transportation Grant Program – Biodiesel and E85 – Eligible project costs: new or conversion of existing facilities to use new AFT fuel, and educational and promotional materials. – Maximum award for conversion of retail facilities: $10,000 – Maximum award for new installation of retail facilities: $40,000 – Maximum award for educational material: $5,000 • School Bus B20 Biodiesel – Eligible Applicants: school districts, county Mental Retardation and Development Disabilities (MRDD) program and similar local agencies that provide k-12 education – Covers 100% of the incremental cost to use B20 fuel, up to $25,000

Residential Wind Incentive http://www.odod.state.oh.us/cdd/oee/ELFGrant.htm# NOFA_09-02 This program is available for Qualified Systems installed for Eligible Customers through applications submitted to the Program by an Eligible Installer. Eligible customers include all residential customers who are connected to the electric grid and have an active account in the American Electric Power, Duke, First Energy or Dayton Power and Light service territories in the State of Ohio. Qualified residential wind turbines will have a minimum annual output of 3000 kWh at the average annual wind speed for the site at the proposed hub height. A list of Eligible Installers is available on the OEO website. Incentive amount: $2.00/kWh or 50% of project costs Maximum award per applicant: $25,000 • • • • • • • • • •

Residential Solar PV Incentive Residential Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Incentive Program NOFA 09-04 http://www.odod.state.oh.us/cdd/oee/ELFGrant.htm#NOFA_09-04 This program is available for Qualified Systems installed for Eligible Customers through applications submitted to the Program by an Eligible Installer. Eligible customers include all residential customers who are connected to the electric grid and have an active account in the American Electric Power, Duke, First Energy or Dayton Power and Light service territories in the State of Ohio. Qualified residential solar PV systems will have a rated output of 2kW or more. A list of Eligible Installers will be available on the OEO website. • Maximum Incentive: $25,000 • • • • • • • • •
