Summary of Benefits • Quantifying the Impact of Aircraft Cannibalization (MM0206) Development of a mathematical modeling methodology for assessing the impact of cannibalization on fleet performance; identification of policies to make cost-effective, dynamic cannibalization decisions; and evaluation of the impact of these policies on management of the spare parts supply chain • Fleet-Level Selective Maintenance and Aircraft Scheduling (MM0202) Recommendations related to the use of a mathematical modeling methodology for managing the dynamic, maintenance planning and sortie scheduling problem
Summary of Benefits • Quantifying the Effect of Commercial Transportation Practices in Military Supply Chains (MM0205) Development of a mathematical and simulation based methodology for quantifying the effect of transportation options such as scheduled deliveries, priority time-based delivery, cross-shipments, and mobile repair resources; identification of the strategic value of these practices and ability to quantify the impact in terms of cost, response time, and military readiness of these techniques on current or future military logistics networks • The Use of Decision Models in the Development of a Collaborative Integrated Solutions System (PMD0204) • Targeted outcomes include a set of critical metrics for aircraft flight-line scheduling activities developed from a balanced score card approach and a collaborative decision making tool developed to assist schedulers in the ability to simultaneously measure performance and address trade-offs providing a more proactive decision making approach

Also, the investigation of Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) will lead to recommendations regarding commercial practices that can be applied towards the goal of JTAV 2020
