  2. What is deforestation? • Deforestation is when a huge part of forest has been chopped down by the loggers. • Here is a pie chart showing the tropical deforestation in the world.

  3. What causes deforestation? • Deforestation is caused by men that want to build cities, farms, grazing cattle, factories, palm oil plantations.

  4. Who/What does this affect? • Palm oil plantations are destroying the habitat of the Orangutans, which for this reason are getting extinct. • Deforestation affects also all the other animals, because when loggers chop down trees, their houses are getting destroyed. • But deforestation affects also us, because trees contain Oxygen, and if loggers cut down trees, Oxygen will be getting lesser and lesser.

  5. How can the problem be resolved/ stopped? • The problem can be stopped or resolved by: First, stop deforestation and building; Second, leave more space for nature around the world; Third, provide a way for poor people to make money, so that they stop deforestation and instead, work.
