Introduction • FutureGrid is a testbed that support different infrastructures (HPC, OpenStack, Eucalyptus, Nimbus) • Limited number of resources that should be assigned according to user demands • We need a service to dynamically move resources from one infrastructure to another to satisfy users’ requirements

FutureGrid Move Design • Orchestrates resource re-allocation among different infrastructures • Command Line interface to ease the access to this service • Exclusive access to the service to prevent conflicts • Keep status information about the resources assigned to each infrastructure as well as the historical to be able to make predictions about the future needs • Scheduler that can dynamically re-allocate resources and support manually planning future re-allocations

  5. What is Teefaa? • Teefaa is a handy toolkit to simplify cloning machines within Cloud, HPC and standalone machines • Features • Provision a clone of a virtual machine or a baremetal machine on some other baremetalmachine • Create a cloud image from a virtual machine or a baremetalmachine
