1. Location • We will be located in Caracas, Venezuela. Map of Venezuela.
2. Product • We will make plastic toys reaping the benefits of the wealth of oil the country has. Developers handling some of the toys.
3. Economy • Venezuela has a mixed economy but leans more toward a command economy.
4. Human Capital • We will need 20 workers, 13 safety managers, 3 lawyers, and someone to fill our most important job, Manager, (see job description on next slide)
Job Description • I am looking for someone to fill the job of Manager at LJP. He/She must be here every day at 8:00 and leave at 6:00. The manager must be a Venezuelan citizen. The Manager must get things done like if we need post-it notes, we get them yesterday. The Manager must always have ideas on how to make the company better. He will be paid 100,000 Bolivars a year. If you fit the position, send your resume to fuzailfsyed@yahoo.com.
5. Capital Goods • We will need 74 iPhone 4’s, 148 iMacs, 185 uniforms, 3,000,000 post-it notes, 4,000 staples, 74 staplers, 37 file cabinets, 9 coffee makers, 9 vending machines, 15 TVs, 1,000,000 gallons of oil, 10,000,000 molds, 4,000 iPads, an Xbox with Kinect (for employees lounge), and 296 copies of Microsoft Office Enterprise 2011.
6. Risks • There are risks to this plan. I have “Googled” any to all toy stores in Venezuela and we will not be the only one there. We will be up against American Toy Store, Comercial Dulcinea C.A., and Frank Toys. I expect my shop to run very smooth considering that Caracas is a big city, and that the prices will be reasonable due to the wealth of oil.
7. Competition • Even with all these fancy new toy stores, I will have an Idea box out side of the exit to see what kids actually want, not what I think they want. Also, The prices will make me go out of stock, you had better pre-order!
8. Name • The name had to be translated in order for the people to understand it; hence, the name is Los Juguetes de Pavor ( Toys of Awesomeness).
10. Equipment • We will need 185 uniforms, 3,000,000 post-it notes, 4,000 staples, 74 staplers, 37 file cabinets, 9 coffee makers, 9 vending machines, 15 TVs, 1,000,000 gallons of oil, 10,000,000 molds, 4,000 iPads, an Xbox with Kinect (for employees lounge), and 296 copies of Microsoft Office Enterprise 2011.
11. Cost • Finally, the information that I have mentioned but never gave. The highest price will be 258 Bolivars. That is an equivalent to 60 U.S dollars.
12. Audiance • My initial plan was that kids get fun and cool toys to play with so my audience are the kids that suffer from boredom who need something to play with. • Here are the demographics
The End!!!!!!! Donations are accepted. Seriously we are like over 10 billion dollars in debt.
