Data Quality Correct data in NSSRS eliminates assessment issues later. Due date is when data must be submitted. Districts are encouraged to use NSSRS Validations link in the portal to audit their data. Before due date districts can submit changes to the data. After due date closes, the data is uploaded to DRC.
Data Uploads to DRC Due Date to update student data in NSSRS for writing upload to DRC – December 1, 2014 Writing assessment data upload to DRC on December 5, 2014 Due Date to update student data in NSSRS for reading, math, and science (RMS) upload to DRC – January 30, 2015 Data for RMS assessments uploaded to DRC on February 4, 2015 Due Date for updated Alternate Flag in Special Education Template – December 1, 2014 & January 30, 2015
Student Verification Reports Audit data using student verification reports. NeSA Writing, Reading, Math, and Science Labels - Information from the Student and School Enrollment Templates for the selected school year that will be uploaded to the Assessment vendor. Due Date for NeSA-W is 12/1/2014 Due Date for NeSA-RMS is 1/30/2015

Data/Reports from DRC • Available on July 16, 2014 based on current timeline • District Data file available through eDIRECT under the Reports tab. • Separate reports for alternate and general results. • District and school reports showing: • Performance Summary • Student Roster • Indicator Summary • Individual Student Reports (ISR) • NeSA reading, math, science and writing for the appropriate grades. • Preliminary Reports – Final reports on SOSR

Audit NeSA Assessment Data • Available through the Portal, districts will be able to audit the following assessment data for districts and schools: • Average scale score by subgroup, by subject, and by grade. • Performance Level – percent below, meets, and exceeds by subgroup, by subject, and by grade. • Student scale scores, performance level, and reason not tested. • Shows both NeSA General and Alternate results • Paste data into Excel to audit

Comparability Site (SOSR) Compare tool on the State of the Schools Report allows you to select between 2 and 7 districts or schools to compare. The selected schools/districts can be compared for characteristics, NePAS, NeSA, and AYP. Characteristics – poverty %, ELL %, SPED %, Mobility %, Grad %, Membership, Highly Mobile % NePAS – Status, Improvement, and Growthfor all three levels NeSA – Percent Proficient – by subgroup, by grade, by subject AYP – Met or Not Met – by school level, by reading and math.
Compare Tool on SOSR * Data has been masked to protect the identity of students using one the following criteria:1) Fewer than 10 students were reported in a group or subgroup.a) All subgroup data is masked if any group has fewer than 10.2) All students were reported in a single group or performance category.
