WELCOME TO MY SCHOOL. TURDA –CLUJ ROMANIA. Şcoala George Bariţiu. The school is situated in Turda Noua , a nice district with houses and gardens. The building is new, but the school dates from 1849. At the beginning it was a catholic school, but in time it became a laic one.

Şcoala George Bariţiu • The school is situated in Turda Noua , a nice district with houses and gardens. • The building is new, but the school dates from 1849. • At the beginning it was a catholic school, but in time it became a laic one. • The school was named after an important figure from 1848 Revolution.

  3. children age: from 6 to 15 • classes: 13 • average n. children per class: 20 • teachers in the school:25

  4. daily timetable: from 8 to 12 ( for primary classes) • length of a lesson:50 minutes • no lunch; • pupils receive milk and biscuits for free

  5. School subjects (6 to 10 years old): Romanian, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Arts, PE, English, Religion; • All the subjects are taught by one teacher except: PE, Religion, English;

  6. Children like taking part to different activities. • Here we celebrate Easter, 9 May and they’re presenting their Climates Portofolio.

  7. Children are performing different traditional dances: Alunelu, Ciuleandra, Drag mi-i jocul românesc.

  8. We love parties and carnivals. • Here are the pupils from class 4 having a great time at their last party; • Sometimes 2 or more classes join and have parties or carnivals together.
