Problems encountered during the year 2004 • Fug 60kV for the pulsed EBIS plate form (repaired at manufacturer). • Problems in some Heinzinger high voltage cassettes for the Separator. • Malfunctions in Wago control crate for the Separator (cabling & assembling problems). • Problems with some Danfysik 858 for triplets lens in the linac section (three phases controllers broken & water leakage in some power converters). Works done during this shut down • Preventive maintenance on Trek Power Amplifier (2 fans replaced). • 32 Heinzinger high voltage cassettes were checked (6 modules were found in bad conditions : bad solders, bad contacts…). • 32 Heinzinger high voltage cassettes were updated for vacuum interlock (negative logic to ensure security). • Danfysik 858 were checked (3 three phases controllers replaced). • Pre-installations for new Simatic control system (for Separator & Linac section) : - Installation of new rack for Steerer – Separator & Bender magnets power converters (power and control crate) - 22 Danfysik are now ready for RS422 (add SubD25 connector on all rear panel) - New design for Heinzinger high voltage cassettes crates (includes modifications for vacuum interlock) Rex 1/2 Day - Power converters - N.David

  4. To do before next run • Installation and test of TREK power amplifier for replacement of the Fug 60kV in case of failure. • Add temporary cut off system on Heinzinger DC24V source for vacuum interlock (while waiting for new crates). • Replacement of 2 old 24DC3500 crates by 2 Isolde 24DC3500 crates with negative logic for vacuum interlock in the BTS section (loan by J.
