  1. The Advantages of Bullet-Resistant Glass https://advancedarmorsystems.design.blog/2020/06/15/the-advantages-of-bullet-resistant-glass/

  2. Used by multiple militaries, government agencies, and even some businesses to safeguard their staff, bullet-resistant glass has become a common sight across the globe. Not only is it integrated into buildings and vehicles, but you can also find the glass in embassies and banks. • With the introduction of stronger plastic and advanced layering techniques, bullet-resistant glass, also known as BR glass, has become extremely robust and has multiple advantages.  • In this blog, we will go over some of the advantages of using this type of glass.

  3. Protection From A Vast Array of Mishaps • Contrary to its name, bullet-resistant glass isn’t just used for obstructing the impact of bullets. This type of glass is disaster-neutral, hence they act as a guard against various mishaps, including armed enemies, extreme weather conditions, industrial failures, or any unexpected disasters.

  4. Highly Flexible • It’s often misconceived that as bullet-resistant glass is sturdy and extremely strong, it wouldn’t be flexible to fit into panels of different shapes and sizes. However, that’s far from the truth. As this class makes use of polycarbonate thermoplastic, which is much more flexible than any other glazing material, the glass can consume enormous force, while fitting snugly into any panel shape you desire.

  5. Close Resemblance To Normal Glass • Bullet-resistant glass isn’t always identifiable in the first glance, due to its construction and make. Moreover, most of the types of glass aren’t bulky or extremely thick, instead, the properties of various materials are used to make the glass impenetrable. Hence, if a car has bullet-resistant windows, there’s no definite way of identifying this.  • This is highly beneficial as it takes away the element of surprise if you’re under attack. For instance, if a car’s window is being shot at an unexpected moment, the glass will prevent the impact, while giving the passenger inside sufficient time to react appropriately.

  6. A Clear View  • Even though bullet-resistant glass uses a host of various materials to develop properties that allow it to obstruct tremendous force, it doesn’t hamper the visibility of the person behind it. For the person sitting behind the glass, the view is as clear as they would get with regular glass.  • This is a great advantage as the person won’t be taken by surprise when under attack, or at least they know what’s happening in their surroundings.  • With increasing rivalry among people and nations, along with easy access to arms, it’s no surprise that the demand for bullet-resistant glass is high. Moreover, manufactures like Cemar International is constantly striving to improve the quality of bullet-resistant glasses. Click here for more information!
