Those activities are research, education and consumer empowerment, legal assistance and government regulation watchdog. • ICT Watch was established on January 2002. Until now, ICT Watch has been cooperated with national and international partners (such as PEG – USAID, AOEMA – AUSAID and GIPI - INTERNEWS) to do some activities. • ICT Watch is fully supported by dedicated and competent team with related educational and experiences background, such as communication master, lawyer, law and regulation researcher, computer and network engineer, and also IT writer / columnist. • ICT Watch continue to maintain good relationship and partnership with ICT-related institution, local watch dog NGO, media, private sector and government as well, without sacrificing or losing our independency, neutralism and keen criticism.

  2. Lab for Poor Childrenat Taman Ismail Marzuki - Jakarta Supported by our partners and collaboration with local NGO, we develop computer laboratory for the street / poor children. The computers are the old-second-hand one, donation from our partner. We have 6 clients (Pentium I / II, mostly no hard disk and RAM 16 – 32 MB) that connected to the 1 server (Pentium III, hard disk 20 GB, RAM 128 MB) using terminal server technology. So that the old-second-hand client can be used for latest software such as Microsoft Office XP. School Information Network is one of ICT Watch partner on implementing the terminal server technology. The students classified into two groups, the regular one and junior one. For the regular one, the student age is around 12 – 18 years old and studying MS- Office. And the junior one is below 12 years old, mostly of them like drawing and typing just for fun.
