  7. Interactive Science Notebook • The key to 7th and 8th Grade Science success! • Research has shown that writing notes is more effective than just reading information. • Students will take detailed notes, do a lot of drawings and models, and keep a Table of Contents

  13. Assessments & Retakes • 3 Required district tests may not be retaken and will be a gradebook grade • Semester 1 final (grade) • Science and Engineering Practices • Semester 2 final (grade) • Quizzes and chapter tests may be retaken once • End of Unit tests may not be retaken

  14. Retakes • Parent permission not necessary • Student will sign up for retake • Make corrections on original • Turn in original with corrections on retake date (during RTI)

  15. Data Tracking • The students will track their own progress on all district tests, and class tests and quizzes on blue forms inside folder. • Column for retake date.

  16. STEM Exploratory • Switch by quarter • Passion Project done in class over 7 weeks
