HS Announcements: Monday, Nov. 19th High School Attention Juniors & Seniors. The following institutions and military branches will have representatives here to meet with you either in the media center or in Lab 70 during homeroom time: Thursday, 11-29 - OSU Lima Stop by guidance to sign up or if you have any questions. Attention Seniors: Wright State University will be holding an Engineering Night on December 4, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. for those students interested in pursuing an Engineering degree and career. Please stop by Guidance for more information. Attention Juniors – there will be a junior class meeting in the Choir room tomorrow during Jr/Sr homeroom. This meeting is for all juniors. Reminder to students that have completed a fall sports season and want to take advantage of the PE Waiver. Forms can be picked up in the office or guidance office. Once your season is complete, get your coach to sign-off and then turn the form in to the office. With all fall sports being completed, we would like all PE waiver forms turned in by tomorrow. Congratulations to the semi-finalists in the dodgeball tournament! Tuesday during a pep rally schedule, returning champs, Justice League, will take on The Better Men. Your $1 donation at the door will insure that you will be there to cheer on your favorite team. FCCLA thanks all those who helped make the tournament a success! Don’t forget your $1 donation tomorrow. All proceeds from the dodgeball tournament are split between two charities – one is KIVA, an organization that offers loans to people in 3rd world countries for the purpose of starting up a business and the other is to purchase Christmas gifts for children involved with Logan County Children’s Services. Congratulations to Hayden Erwin, Colleen McDaniel and Bethany Painter! Hayden Erwin was chosen to be WL-S’s HOBY representative for the 2012-2013 school year, and Colleen and Bethany were selected to be our Alternates. Thank you to the 8 sophomores who applied this year. Great job. Any high school student who is interested in Mock Trial can sign-up in the office. The Introductory Meeting will be Thursday, Nov. 29th in Mr. Thomas’s room after school. If you have any questions, ask Sawyer Shafer or Trevor Davis. ALL NHS Members and Candidates - help is still needed Sat Dec 8th for the Green Hills Christmas Dinner. Also, PTO has asked NHS to aid with this year's Elementary Santa Shop. Please see Mrs. Smith or Mrs. Roberts if you can miss a study hall to help in the shop Dec 3rd-7th. Also, on Sat Dec 1st they need help all day setting up in Mod 12. Please Volunteer! Attention all HS Students: The sophomore class will be selling shirts for the jungle and we want you to help with the T-shirt design! Pick up a drawing form in the HS office, art room, or Mrs. Rafferty's room today! Please have drawings turned in to Mrs. Rafferty's room (room 68) by Tuesday, November 20th. Students will vote for their favorite and have the opportunity to order the winning design! Design contest is open to high school students only." Ask Madi Boyer, Haden Erwin, Brooke Markin, or Bryanna Floyd for more information. The HS Boys and Girls Cross Country Team will have their awards night on Monday, 11/19 at 6:00 in cafetorium. This is a potluck dinner so bring a covered dish to share. The HS football team and cheerleaders will have their end of season awards ceremony Tuesday night, Nov. 27th at 6:30 in the cafetorium. Would you like to help the American Red Cross support the residents of the East Coast as they recover from Hurricane Sandy? If so, you can do one or both of the following: 1. Support the American Red Cross by purchasing baked goods this Monday and Tuesday during homeroom. Each item will be available for a suggested donation of $1 per item. 2. Also, keep listening for information about the creation of an American Red Cross Student Organization here at WLS. Students who qualified for the All A Ski Pass from Mad River Mountain – make sure you get your forms turned by tomorrow. Attention NYC Seniors - your payment for NYC of $100 was due by Friday 11/16. If you did not get it turned in, make sure you give your payment to Mr. Cotrell or Mr. Lewis today or tomorrow.
